MATERIALS AND MAINTENANCE

LIFE sells a wide range of products manufactured from multiple materials. In this overview we describe how to maintain your garden furniture product for an optimal lifespan. When using the LIFE Outdoor Living treatment products, we recommend you read the instructions on the back of the product carefully before application. Although LIFE garden furniture is designed and manufactured for outdoor use, it is important to maintain and clean the furniture regularly and protect it as much as possible against weather and outdoor influences, as these factors will affect the life span of the furniture. Just compare it to a new car; you can leave it outside, but you have to clean it once in a while to keep it in good shape and looking its best or, if possible, store it in a garage.

TEAK WOOD ROBUST

‘‘Protect your garden furniture against the weather elements ’’

Our teak wood products are 100% certified. Mostly SVLK (some FSC), meaning that the full process in manufacturing is registered and monitored. Guaranteeing the sustainability of the wood itself and the plantation.
Scratches, dents, cracks, knots, is inherent to the natural product and these do not have an impact on the life span. Normal use of the product will result in small cracks (hairline cracks) and openings appearing in the wood; this does not detract from the quality or the life span of the table, but to the contrary is characteristic of the charm of this product.

POLYWOOD

‘‘The look of real wood, but low maintenance’’

Our polywood products are difficult to separate from our real wood products. This is an artificial product, and you will benefit from its very low maintenance. It is lightweight and will not splinter. Please be aware that glass items can act as a magnifying glass in the sun and polywood can become marked.
You can maintain polywood using the LIFE Outdoor Living - Polywood Cleaner, and use of the Polywood Protector will create a protective layer against stains and
marks.

WICKER

‘‘Clean the wicker regularly for a good looking furniture set all year round’’

Our wicker furniture is hand woven around an aluminium frame. Use of natural coloured weaving by hand, nuances in colour, thickness and weaving pattern can occur. This only strengthens the “natural” look of the garden furniture.

The wicker is UV proof and colour fast and can be cleaned using LIFE Outdoor Living Textilene and Wicker Cleaner.

ALUMINIUM

‘‘A light weather proof material which does not rust’’

LIFE Outdoor Living has a wide range of aluminium furniture with the advantage of being light and strong. The high-quality powder coating ensures that our aluminium products can endure any type of climate, as it is UV proof and colour fast. If damage on the paint has occurred during use, it is easily to retouch. For cleaning and extra protection, you can use the LIFE Outdoor Living - Aluminium Cleaner and Protector.

CERAMIC

‘‘A very strong, scratch proof material which is very easy to maintain’’

Our unique ceramic table tops have a remarkable strength. Ceramic tops have 2-3 layers of ceramic material on top of a shatterproof glass plate (about 8mm thick). Ceramic is one of the hardest materials used in garden furniture. It has an extremely high scratch threshold, it is UV proof, colour fast and it is easy to maintain. For cleaning and protection you can use the “LIFE Outdoor Living – Ceramic cleaner and protector”.

SPRAYSTONE

‘‘Protect your spraystone against stains’’

Our popular low maintenance spraystone is about 8 mm thick and has a beautiful finish. The sides of these tops also have the same finish confirming its luxury appearance. Spraystone is a mix of grinded natural stone and resin. When you leave flower pots or other glass too long on the table, it may cause stains.
For cleaning you can use our “LIFE Outdoor Living - Spraystone Cleaner”. It is highly recommended to give the spraystone an extra layer of protection using “LIFE Outdoor Living – Spraystone protector” to prevent stains

CUSHIONS

LIFE furniture offers very thick and comfortable cushions. These ALL WEATHER cushions can be left outdoors throughout the entire season. They are produced from high-quality synthetic products; when it rains the water goes through the cushion cover and into the inner cushion. By pressing down on the cushion or placing the cushions on their sides, the cushions will be dry in a relatively short period of time.
